Charles Alexander

Charles Alexander is a celebrated LSU and NFL standout whose athletic excellence and leadership have left a lasting mark on collegiate and professional football. A dominant running back at Louisiana State University, Alexander was a two-time All-American and finished his LSU career as one of the most decorated players in the program’s history. Following his collegiate success, he was selected in the first round of the NFL Draft and enjoyed a productive professional career, earning Pro Bowl honors and the respect of teammates and opponents alike. Beyond his on-field achievements, Alexander has remained a proud ambassador for LSU, mentoring young athletes and inspiring future generations. Widely regarded as one of Louisiana’s all-time football greats, his legacy extends beyond statistics to include leadership, perseverance, and a lasting influence on the community and the sport he loves.

Richard Lipsey

Richard A. Lipsey is a distinguished Louisiana businessman, entrepreneur, and civic leader. A graduate of LSU (1961) and Harvard Business School OPM (1987), he served in the U.S. Army as Aide to the Commanding General of the Military District of Washington, including involvement in the funeral of President John F. Kennedy. Lipsey entered the family business, Steinberg Sports Centers, and in 1977 purchased S & S Wholesale Sporting Goods (now Lipsey’s), growing it into the nation’s largest firearms distributor. Together with his family, he owns Haspel, the iconic men’s clothing brand, and he is a founder and partner of Lipsey Communications. A dedicated philanthropist, Lipsey has supported LSU, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, and Pennington Biomedical Research Center. He served on the Louisiana Board of Regents from 2013 to 2021, including two terms as Chair, and in 2023 was elected to the Louisiana Political Hall of Fame.

Calvin Mackie

Dr. Calvin Mackie is an engineer, entrepreneur, educator, and motivational leader whose work has inspired communities across Louisiana and beyond. Mackie earned his Master’s and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He has held multiple leadership roles in engineering and education, including serving as a faculty member and mentor to students pursuing STEM careers. He is the co-founder of STEM NOLA, an organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities and workforce development in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. In addition to his work in education, Mackie is a sought-after public speaker, author, and advocate for innovation, economic development, and community empowerment. Through his teaching, mentorship, and entrepreneurial initiatives, Dr. Mackie has had a lasting impact on students, professionals, and communities, embodying the values of leadership, service, and inspiration.

Judy Perry Martinez

Judy Perry Martinez is a highly respected attorney and legal leader, known for her dedication to excellence, ethics, and public service. She joined Northrop Grumman in 2003 and went on to manage the company’s litigation for the western United States before being named Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer worldwide. She retired in 2015 to spend a year in residence as a fellow at the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative.  Recognized for her leadership and expertise in complex litigation, Martinez now serves as Of Counsel at Simon, Peragine, Smith & Redfearn. She has also held numerous influential roles at the state and national levels, including serving as President of the American Bar Association, where she helped shape policy and advance the rule of law. Through her accomplishments, leadership, and service, Judy Perry Martinez has made a lasting impact on the legal community, exemplifying integrity, dedication, and the values of a true Louisiana leader.

Thomas Ryder

Thomas Ryder is an investor, entrepreneur, retired corporate executive, and director with extensive leadership experience in publishing and financial services, overseeing multibillion-dollar global organizations. He served as Chairman and CEO of The Reader’s Digest Association, President of American Express Travel Related Services International, President of American Express Merchant Services International, and Chairman and CEO of American Express Publishing Worldwide. Earlier in his career, Ryder held key roles with Time, Inc., Xerox Education Publications, CBS Publishing, and co-founded Education Today Co., Inc., serving as CEO. His career reflects a lifelong commitment to innovation, leadership, and strategic vision. Ryder’s contributions have left a lasting mark on media, business, and corporate governance, and he continues to influence future leaders and entrepreneurs.

Hunt Slonem

Hunt Slonem is an internationally acclaimed artist, celebrated for his vibrant neo-expressionist paintings and installations, particularly his iconic series of bunnies, birds, and butterflies. Inspired by nature and tropical landscapes, Slonem’s work blends bold color with intricate patterns, creating a distinctive style recognized worldwide. In addition to his artistic practice, he is a committed preservationist and conservationist, dedicated to protecting wildlife and promoting environmental awareness. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the globe, influencing generations of artists and art lovers alike.
