For more than 40 years, Carol Highsmith has greeted each day with one mission: to document every nook and cranny of the United States through her photography. A self-described nomad, Carol captures life in America in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, visiting all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
From majestic mountains and quirky roadside attractions to unforgettable characters, both known and unknown, CAPTURING AMERICA: THE CAROL HIGHSMITH STORY follows Carol through six states as she wraps up her life’s work and completes her study of America.
As the nation prepares to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, Louisiana audiences will be the first to see the film before its national release.

Tragedy Strikes a 7th-Generation Family Farm
When a horrific fire tears through the Arnold Farms barn, Emma and Oak Hawk turn to their family and community for support. Determined to rebuild and carry on as the seventh generation of proud Hoosier farmers in central Indiana, the couple looks to the future, tackling the challenges that come with establishing a new approach to working the land sustainably.
