NATURE
TUSKER: BROTHERHOOD OF ELEPHANTS
Wednesday 7:00pm

Against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, meet the majestic “super tuskers” — male elephants that carry the wisdom of generations, whose tusks each weigh at least 100 pounds. Fewer than 30 remain in all of Kenya. Follow the lives of Craig, Pascal, and Esau — tuskers at different stages of life — as they navigate the trials, transformations, and experiences that come with age and a shifting landscape.

"To enter the world of male elephants was astonishing,” said Allison Argo, writer and producer. “Most of us are aware of female elephants and their wonderful matriarchy, but male elephant society is equally fascinating and complex. To be allowed into their world is a huge privilege– and with that comes a responsibility to protect them.”

LPB PRESENTS: CINÉMA FRANÇAIS
Sundays at 10:00pm

LPB's mission to showcase our state’s unique culture and history includes our ongoing efforts to preserve and promote our French heritage and language. We are happy to announce the return of LPB Presents: Cinéma Français – a late-night exploration of classic French films.  Hosted by Dr. William Arceneaux, each film is presented in French with English subtitles, so everyone can enjoy. "These are fantastic examples of classic French films and feature some of the greats of the time like Yves Montand, Emmanuelle Béart, and Simone Signoret. They are meant for all of Louisiana to enjoy.”

The premiere film for this season is:
LE BON ET LES MECHANTS (GOOD GUYS AND BAD GUYS)
Spanning the uneasy years from 1935 to 1945, this crime drama follows a band of thieves navigating survival as France edges toward war and occupation. As loyalties shift, the boundary between criminal and patriot steadily erodes.

A swirling background of brightly colored blues and green blues. A logo reads Louisiana The State We're In with an icon of the louisiana state capitol.

LOUISIANA: THE STATE WE'RE IN
Friday 7:00pm

State health officials say Louisiana is dealing with one of the worst flu seasons in recent history, resulting in at least one pediatric death so far. Health experts explain why this season's flu is so severe and how families can help fight the spread.

And who says ice hockey doesn't belong in the deep south? Here in Louisiana, skates are flying, pucks are slapping and fans are packing the rink as Louisiana teams prove you don't need cold weather to enjoy hard-hitting hockey.
