WORLD-CLASS FISHING, HISTORY & HOMETOWN VIBES
LPB's original travel series LA64 wraps up Season 1 in DeSoto Parish
LA64: DESOTO PARISH
Monday 8:00pm | Friday 8:30pm
DeSoto Parish reflects a landscape where Civil War history and rural life continue to shape community identity in northwest Louisiana. The episode begins in Pelican and Mansfield, where the Battles of Pleasant Hill and Mansfield marked turning points in the Red River Campaign and remain preserved through reenactments and historic sites. In Keachi, Greek Revival architecture, Rosenwald schools, and a local vineyard highlight the parish's cultural depth. Along the Sabine River in Logansport and into Toledo Bend Reservoir, one of the nation's premier fishing destinations, these stops reveal a parish where history, agriculture, and small-town life remain deeply connected.
