Linda Midgett, Director - Executive Producer

As Executive Producer at Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB), Linda Midgett oversees many of the network's original productions, including Louisiana Spotlight, Louisiana: The State We're In, and documentaries such as Why Louisiana Ain't Mississippi... or Any Place Else!, Capturing America: The Carol Highsmith Story, and The Precipice.

An Emmy Award-winning writer, producer, and director, Midgett has directed, written, and supervised more than 600 hours of programming for NBCUniversal, History, Discovery, National Geographic, and PBS. Her independent documentary Same God premiered at the 2018 Los Angeles Film Festival before airing on PBS stations nationwide.

Jay Dardenne, Executive Producer - Producer

After a long career in public service, Jay Dardenne has turned from serving the people of Louisiana to telling their stories. His first collaboration with LPB was the acclaimed four-hour documentary Why Louisiana Ain't Mississippi... or Any Place Else!, followed by the companion photography book of the same name with Library of Congress photographer Carol Highsmith. He most recently serves as Executive Producer and Producer for Circles: The Life of Billy Cannon, continuing his commitment to preserving and sharing Louisiana's rich history and culture. 

Cathy Berry - Producer

Circles: The Life of Billy Cannon might be Berry’s first official role as producer, but it is far from her first production. She partnered with Jay Dardenne and LPB on the acclaimed four-hour documentary Why Louisiana Ain't Mississippi ....Or Any Place Else!  For almost four decades she worked with Jay Dardenne in a variety of capacities including coordinating policy as his legislative assistant in the Senate, directing the 17 museums under the Secretary of State, creating the Heroes and Heritage Trail, and serving as Chief of Staff in the Lieutenant Governor's office.
