In the 1920’s, the battle for the Orteig Prize for the first direct flight between New York and Paris was a breathtaking drama. Public and sponsor pressure drove pilots, including Charles Lindbergh, to take great risks in their attempt to conquer the Atlantic. In a few months, the race claimed six dead and five injured. The film is an amazing story about favorites, outsiders, winners and losers.
