Maddie Scott is a food and features reporter at The Advocate in Baton Rouge, where she covers the local dining scene from pop-ups to brick-and-mortars. Born and raised in Covington, Louisiana, she learned the ropes of journalism at LSU's student newspaper, The Reveille, and graduated from LSU's Manship School of Mass Communication in 2025. When she's not in the field, she loves binging docu-style cooking videos on YouTube, playing guitar and gardening.
