GRANTCHESTER ON MASTERPIECE MYSTERY! returns to LPB for its eleventh and final season this Sunday. This first episode finds us in 1963, with all of the characters questioning the paths they are on. Big changes are coming, with everyone looking at family, forgiveness, identity, and faith. Alphy’s drive-in fundraiser turns deadly when sponsor Bert Mills is found murdered, and multiple suspects confess. As Alphy faces painful truths about his mother and faith, Geordie grows jaded, Cathy clashes with Mrs. C at CeCe’s, and Leonard searches for purpose. In Grantchester, dreams, doubts, and desires collide.
The series began in 2015. Since then, audiences have been hooked – spanning ten years, countless crimes, and no fewer than three vicars! Says Executive Producer, Emma Kingsman-Lloyd, “Audiences are in for the most ambitious and thrilling series yet – Geordie and Alphy are going out with a bang!”
