CIRCLES: THE LIFE OF BILLY CANNON
An LPB Premiere
Monday 7:00pm

From humble beginnings in north Baton Rouge to becoming one of LSU's greatest football legends, Billy Cannon seemed to have it all: a Heisman Trophy, a professional football career, and a successful orthodontic practice. Then, a federal counterfeiting conviction brought a stunning and very public fall from grace. But it would not be the final chapter of his story. This LPB documentary explores the remarkable rise, devastating fall, and ultimate redemption of one of Louisiana's most iconic sports figures.

Major production funding for Circles: The Life of Billy Cannon is provided by the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, the Louisiana Rural Hospital Coalition, LA Cap Federal Credit Union, Turner Industries, Gordon & Shannon McKernan, and Terrell Brown, with additional support from Kleinpeter & Kleinpeter and special thanks to DOCCU.

LA64: VERMILION PARISH
Monday 9:30pm

See Louisiana like you've never see it before... and learn a little hidden history along the way!

LPB encores Season 1 of the unique travel series LA64 - a trip along the backroads of our state to explore the hidden histories and undiscovered gems that help make up our beautiful state.

In the first episode, host Karen LeBlanc heads to Vermilion Parish. Known as the self-proclaimed "Most Cajun Place on Earth," this parish offers a vibrant look at Cajun culture shaped by food, faith, and festival. The episode visits Abbeville for the Giant Omelette Festival, heads to crawfish ponds near Kaplan, and captures live swamp-pop music before discovering a hidden countryside grotto. Set among rice fields and bayous, these stops reveal a parish where Cajun traditions remain part of everyday life.

A swirling background of brightly colored blues and green blues. A logo reads Louisiana The State We're In with an icon of the louisiana state capitol.

LOUISIANA: THE STATE WE'RE IN
Friday 7:00pm | Saturday 4:30pm  | Sunday 5:00pm

A new Louisiana law strengthens penalties for people caught using marijuana near schools and college campuses. The measure creates a 2,000-foot buffer zone around campuses, and people caught violating the ordinance could face prison time and steep fines. Some students and experts are concerned the law will unfairly impact people who have medical marijuana prescriptions or use marijuana inside their own homes.  LPB's Johnny Atkinson talked to students and an attorney to break it all down.

Plus more on the storied rivalry of LSU vs Ole Miss - and the LPB documentary on the legacy of Billy Cannon.
