BEHIND THE SCENES OF A MASTERPIECE FAVORITE

ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL: CHAPTER FIVE
Sunday 7:00pm
Stream all seasons LPB PASSPORT

Go behind-the-scenes with the cast and creators of this beloved MASTERPIECE series. It's Spring 1941 in Darrowby, and Season 5 finds baby Jimmy keeping everyone in Skeldale House on their toes. Helen (Rachel Shenton) is getting the hang of motherhood with James (Nicholas Ralph) away at RAF Abingdon. Mrs. Hall (Anna Madeley) and Siegfried (Samuel West) are enjoying having a little one around, and Carmody (James Anthony-Rose) is now a full-fledged member of the Skeldale family. With World War II now fully underway, Siegfried is taking up the slack at the surgery, Mrs. Hall and Helen are considering their contribution within the community, and Carmody is eager to step up. Siegfried is keen to have everyone back, but the surprise return of Tristan (Callum Woodhouse) won't be quite as straightforward as he hoped.

BANGLADESH BY WAY OF THE BAYOU

THE GREAT AMERICAN RECIPE A Taste Down Memory Lane
Friday 8:00pm

Last week Lafayette contestant Coby Bailey explored Bangladesh by way of the Bayou by putting his own spin on judge Francis's Bangladeshi Chicken Korma. That was followed by challenge number two where he and fellow contestant Suwanee Lennon of Spokane swapped recipes requiring Coby to try his hand at her traditional Thai Duck Laab. Although he felt a bit out of his comfort zone, Coby did both recipes proud, learning to work with unfamiliar ingredients (cardamom pods!) and discovering common ground with duck fat cracklins!

Now there's just one more episode before the finale and the home cooks must create a dish based on a family tradition. And in the second round, they'll prepare heirloom recipes that have been treasured by their families. At the end, we learn who the three finalist will be! GEAUX TEAM COBY!

WHAT'S COBY COOKING!

One of the great things about the PBS cooking competition show THE GREAT AMERICAN RECIPE is they share the recipes the contestants create on the show. This past week the contestants swapped recipes and while Coby is no stranger to duck, this was a new take for him!

DUCK LAAB
Coby tried his hand at duck cracklins with his take on this Thai salad dish. Maybe something new to try after you've had your fill of gumbo?

SHRIMP CREOLE OVER FRIED FISH
The judges loved Suwanee's spin on this Cajun classic including the addition of oyster sauce!
