Inspired by “No Passport Required,” “Good Gumbo” is a stylized visual exploration of historical and cultural roots of some of the most popular dishes in the Deep South. Hosted by acclaimed Louisiana chef Philip Lopez and produced by Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB).

A powerful new documentary that traces the unique traditions and rich culture of waterfowl hunting in Louisiana’s Sportsman’s Paradise and explores the sport’s relevance in a global conservation effort to preserve and restore waterfowl populations, migratory flyways and fragile habitat of this imperiled region. 

Louisiana Public Square is LPB’s monthly public affairs program. It provides citizens a forum to voice their opinions and concerns about issues affecting Louisiana to leading experts and key decision makers.
