Since 1975, Louisiana Public Broadcasting has educated, entertained and enlightened audiences across the state. Now, as an innovative multimedia platform, LPB embodies everything viewers love about PBS and connects them to their neighbors and the world. LPB informs in times of crisis, unpacks complex issues, offers opportunities for learning and discovery and elevates the conversation around science, arts and humanities. LPB’s 6 stations reach over three quarters of Louisiana’s population with three broadcast program channels: LPB, LPB Kids 24/7, and LPB3 (Create, PBS’s 24/7 How-To Channel).

Through a partnership of public investment and private support, LPB strives to spark lifelong curiosity and wonder, empower communities and enrich the lives of everyone in our state. LPB's mission promotes a focus on statewide public affairs, responsible news coverage, engaging programming and community resources, while keeping the people, stories and culture of our people at the heart of all we do.
