Sunshine by the Stars: Celebrating Louisiana Music
An all-star lineup of Louisiana musicians joined in the celebration of Louisiana's Bicentennial.
Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne and Harry Connick, Jr. partnered with LPB to produce this television tribute to Louisiana's indigenous music and its economic drivers of the past 200 years.
The entertainers performed their version of one of Louisiana's state songs "You Are My Sunshine."
BP provided up to $1 million to produce, promote and distribute the documentary. In addition to the musical aspect of the documentary, renowned author and journalist Chris Rose highlights the major industries of Louisiana including agriculture, ports and waterways, oil and gas and tourism.
