Episode 2: The Dew Drop Inn
This week, Kara St. Cyr heads to the legendary Dew Drop Inn, a New Orleans nightclub, hotel and restaurant known for its famous black musicians, drag performers and breaking some rules during segregation. Kenneth Jackson shares what it was like to grow up in one of the most influential nightclubs in the country. The series is based off "The Negro Motorist Green Book" exhibit at the Capitol Park Museum by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service and sponsored by ExxonMobil Baton Rouge.
