A motorcycle accident left Keith Godeaux with burns over 67% of his body. Eleven operations later, he is an outstanding student taking academically challenging classes.

Sarah Hoffman was born with no arms and unusable lower limbs. She is a championship debater who has also worked tirelessly to help open doors for other physically challenged people in her area.

Randi Schamerhorn also has Cystic Fibrosis, but has maintained a 4.0 grade point average despite having to miss blocks of time while recovering from surgery.

Robert Vincent almost single-handedly raised $60,000 to build a new track at Erath High School. It is a track he will never run on because he has muscular dystrophy. He also has a grade point average over 3.5 and is a school leader.

Christian Whitton is an outstanding student, athlete and leader at his school. When a house fire near his school killed two people, Chris spent his prize money for selling the most candy at his school to buy smoke alarms for his teammates on his football team.

Carmen Womack

Carmen Womack

Carmen Womack works two jobs as the sole support for her mother, but still manages to be an outstanding student, play in the school band and take part in a wide variety of school, church and community activities. She also finds time to participate in the Prep-Tech program at Delgado Community College.
