Meringue for Pies
Ingredients
- 3 or 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 1/2 cup sugar
Directions
Beat egg whites until they are stiff and form high peaks. Slowly add sugar. Beat at medium speed for about 1 minute. Immediately spread meringue over pie, carefully sealing to edge of pastry to prevent shrinkage. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until browned.
