Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups cornmeal
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons oil

Directions

Sift dry ingredients together. Make a well in center. Beat egg, milk, and oil together and pour into the well. Mix thoroughly. Pour into heated, well greased round 8 inch skillet and bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until mixture pulls away from the pan.
