The Way Forward: Election 2023

From a looming “fiscal cliff,” to skyrocketing insurance costs, to the mass exodus of our young and educated workforce, Louisianans are facing issues that are impacting us now and will continue to do so into our future. As voters head to the polls, we explore the issues in-depth, so voters can understand what we are facing before they decide on just who offers the best solutions.

LPB has partnered with the “RESET Louisiana’s Future” initiative spearheaded by the Public Affairs Research Council (PAR) and Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL). The initiative includes 55 non-partisan recommendations to help voters make informed decisions, with an emphasis on tax policy, infrastructure, education, and public safety.

Karen LeBlanc, co-host of Louisiana: The State We’re In, will be joined by Barry Erwin, CEO and President of CABL, Steven Procopio, Ph.D., President of PAR, and Albert Samuels, Ph.D., Chair of the Department of Political Science and Geography at Southern University.
