LIVE COVERAGE OF GOVERNOR EDWARDS’ ADDRESS TO OPEN THE REGULAR SESSION OF THE STATE LEGISLATURE

On Monday, April 8th at 1 PM, Governor John Bel Edwards gave his address to open the regular session of the Louisiana Legislature. André Moreau (News Anchor, Louisiana: The State We’re In) was joined by co-anchor Natasha Williams and Barry Erwin of the Council for a Better Louisiana. The address was also carried live on WLAE-TV in New Orleans, and streamed at lpb.org/live.

LPB joins with the Louisiana Legislature and the LCTA – The Internet & Television Association to provide live coverage of the session on LAtv from 2 to 6PM every weekday during the session. Contact your local cable operator for specific channel information. At 6PM, viewers can continue watching streamed video coverage at house.louisiana.gov.

Louisiana Public Broadcasting, the LCTA – The Internet & Television Association, and the Louisiana Legislature team up to provide live legislative coverage for viewers around the state through LAtv.

During the Legislative Session, television coverage will run from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. every weekday on cable systems around the state. At 6:00 p.m., viewers can continue watching streamed video coverage. (Contact your local cable operator for specific channel information).

The House and Senate produce the daily coverage. It is transmitted to LPB through a fiber connection to its studios where it is digitally uplinked to cable systems recruited by the LCTA around the state. Please note: starting times for any meeting or proceeding are subject to delay. This is all part of this public service partnership.
