Hospital Focused on Children

Andre' Moreau tours the brand new Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital in Baton Rouge, which opens for the first time on Saturday, October 5. The brightly-colored $230 million dollar free-standing hospital is the centerpiece of a child-focused statewide health network with more access to doctors and providers specifically trained to care for children. Andre' talks with Dr. Trey Dunbar, President of OLOL Children's Health and Sharon Westberry, Manager of OLOL's Child Life Department.

Voice of the Voters

How does the general public feel about their choices in the upcoming election? Natasha Williams takes to the streets to find out what the average citizen thinks about the candidates, the amendments and the election process.

State Senate Showdown

In this segment, we hear from state senate candidates Cleo Fields and Pat Smith, both running for Senate District 14. The candidates recently answered questions from media at the weekly Baton Rouge Press Club.

BESE Board Elections

Natasha Williams continues her look at the candidates running for positions on the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE). She talks with Ronnie Morris, Greg Spiers, Ciara Hart and Dr. Vickie Tolliver August, all vying to represent District 6. Hear their ideas to improve Louisiana's schools. In statewide races, there are twenty candidates running for seven open BESE seats.
