This Week in the Legislature

This week’s highlights in the Louisiana Legislature

Northern Exposure

Natasha Williams profiles an annual event called Northern Exposure, now in its 33RD year. It’s where dozens of business, civic, political and educational leaders from north Louisiana caravan by bus to the State Capitol to talk with lawmakers during the session of the legislature. The focus is to make sure legislators know about issues that impact the northern part of the state.

The Life of Doralice Fontane

She wrote the state song, corresponded with world leaders and celebrities during a decades long quest for world peace and ran a successful, well-known business in Baton Rouge. When she died, she even lay in state before being brought to her final resting place. Who is she? Andre’ Moreau takes a look at the fascinating life of Doralice Fontane.
