Camille Pampell Conaway is the Senior Vice President of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, where she leads public policy and research initiatives across a range of issues important to LABI and the business community. She is currently focusing on workforce development from early childhood to adult education, where LABI advocates for high-quality options for students to fill jobs in high-demand fields.

Camille has served in the public and private sectors in Louisiana with expertise in the state budget, K-12 and higher education, transportation, and criminal justice reform. Most recently, she also served as an adjunct instructor at the LSU’s Manship School of Communication. She has been recognized as a Forty Under 40 recipient (2012) and an Influential Women in Business (2017) by the Baton Rouge Business Report. Camille began her career in Washington D.C. and New York City, where she worked as a researcher and expert on U.S. foreign policy and democracy building after armed conflict.

Camille holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from LSU and a master’s degree from American University’s School of International Service. She is married to Jeffrey Conaway, who owns and operates Beausoleil and Cristina’s restaurants, and has two children, Olivia and Samuel.
