The Legacy of a Lifetime: Celebrating Kathleen Babineaux Blanco

This program recounts the life and legacy of Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, from her humble beginnings in a rural Cajun town, to her rise to the top political office in the state.

More than just a politician, this dedicated mother and former school teacher used her faith and strength from previous experiences to serve Louisiana, first as a state legislator, then the Louisiana Public Service Commission, Lt. Governor and later as the state’s first female Governor.
