Shoppers Value Foods

Clint Caldwell serves as General Manager for the Shoppers Value Food Stores headquartered in north Baton Rouge. Shoppers Value Foods operates 12 supermarkets in southern Louisiana. Seven of those in the north Baton Rouge area, three in Lafayette, one in Bogalusa, and one in Jefferson, LA. Serving mostly moderate and low income areas, Shoppers Value is very proud of the communities it supports both in making healthy foods available to its customers, and employing associates from those neighborhoods. Shoppers Value Foods strives to bring a wide selection of produce, meat, and all grocery products to their patrons at a fair price.

Mr. Caldwell graduated West Monroe High School in 1976 joined the United States Navy and served in the late 70’s and early 80’s. He studied Business Law and Finance at LSU on the GI bill while working in the supermarket industry. He also gained certification as an English Second Language (ESL) instructor in 2005 and has taught up in the US and Peru. In 1985 he went to work for, at the time, the nation’s largest supermarket wholesaler in the US, Fleming Foods, as a Director of Meat Operations, and since has worked for Affiliated Foods Southwest, a regional supermarket wholesaler, as an Executive Vice President and Officer of the Company. In 2009 Caldwell came back to Louisiana and served in numerous capacities of management for AG Baton Rouge and Super Value Corporation, today’s largest supermarket supplier.

Caldwell served on the Board of Directors of Little Rock Workforce Investment Board, Board of Directors of Grocers Financial Credit Union, Board of Directors of The Arkansas State Fair Junior Livestock Auction, and most recently, The Baton Rouge Food Access Policy Commission.
