Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards and First Lady Donna host LPB’s annual celebration, AN EVENING AT THE GOVERNOR’S MANSION. Performing at this year’s event is Louisiana singer, songwriter and musician Amanda Shaw, whose energetic fiddling, clever songwriting, and overall exciting performance brings audiences to their feet. Amanda Shaw is considered a representative of Louisiana’s melting pot of music, showcasing the rich culture of Louisiana through her roots in Cajun music. She has been a staple of the Louisiana music scene for more than twenty years, headlining many of our state’s festivals.

AN EVENING AT THE GOVERNOR’S MANSION is historically a Christmas celebration, but inclement weather delayed the planned December 2022 taping. “This program is really a musical gift to Louisiana. When the weather shut down production back in December, we weren’t sure we could pull it off,” says LPB President and CEO. C.C Copeland. “We are grateful to the Governor, the First Lady and to Amanda Shaw and her band that it could be rescheduled. Louisiana viewers will truly enjoy the show!”
