LPB’s Winterfest 2018 kicks off Friday, November 23 at 9PM with Neil Diamond: Hot August Night III. The program chronicles Neil Diamond's triumphant return to the legendary Greek Theatre in Los Angeles in August 2012.

Saturday, November 24 at 9AM on Feel Better Fast and Make It Last, neuroscientist, psychiatrist, and 10-time New York Times bestselling author Dr. Daniel Amen will show you how to boost your mood and overcome anxiety. (encores Thursday, November 29 at 7PM) Beginning at 11AM, see a marathon event of African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross. African-American history, from slavery to the first black president, is examined in this documentary series from Henry Louis Gates, Jr. At 7PM, never-before-seen performances by Peter, Paul and Mary at Newport '63-'65 convey the joy, optimism and turbulence of that extraordinary era of change. (encores Saturday, November 30 at 5PM) 70s Soul Superstars is at 8:30PM. Join Patti LaBelle for an all-star reunion of the legends of 1970s Motown, R&B and soul. Sunday, November 25 you won't want to miss a minute of Pride & Prejudice beginning at 1PM. This multi-award-winning adaptation of Jane Austen's classic romance stars Colin Firth, Jennifer Ehle and a fabulous supporting cast, against a backdrop of a picture-postcard countryside and stately English homes. At 7PM on Great Performances: Michael Bublé: Tour Stop 148, see this unique concert film that offers viewers a front row seat and exclusive backstage pass. (encores Thursday, November 29 at 8:30PM) The music continues at 8:30PM with Great Performances: Tony Bennett & Diana Krall, as they honor the legacy of the premiere Great American Songbook duo George and Ira Gershwin. Monday, November 26 at 7PM on Antiques Roadshow: Junk in the Trunk 6, travel to all six cities of the season 20 tour for never-before-aired appraisals. At 8:30PM, singer/songwriter Zachary Richard joins us live in the studio to present Attakapas: The Cajun Story. This dynamic, immersive multi-media concert combines historical stills and moving images with Richard's music. (encores Thursday, November 29 at 10PM)

Tuesday, November 27 at 7PM, Sunshine by the Stars: Celebrating Louisiana's Music, hosted by Harry Connick, Jr., features Louisiana's biggest music stars performing the popular song "You Are My Sunshine," originally recorded by country star and former Louisiana Governor Jimmie Davis. See Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews performing with his band on a New Orleans streetcar and country music star Tim McGraw leading fans in a spirited rendition. Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jerry Lee Lewis performs at his house in Memphis, Blues legend Buddy Guy plays at his club in Chicago. Grammy winners Wynton and Branford Marsalis join with their dad Ellis and brother Jason for a unique jazz version of the state song. The music continues at 8:30PM on Austin City Limits, when iconic singer-songwriter James Taylor performs beloved classics and selections from his chart-topping album Before This World. Wednesday, November 28 at 7PM on Nature: Snow Bears, travel to the Arctic to follow the life-changing journey of two newborn polar bear cubs as they leave their den for the first time. Actress Kate Winslet narrates.

Friday, November 30 at 9:30PM Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - From Gainesville: The 30th Anniversary Concert, return to Gainesville, Florida in 2006, the hometown of Petty and bandmates Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench. They performed an electrifying and emotional concert - joined on several songs by Stevie Nicks. This taped program of the live concert features some of their greatest hits including "Free Fallin,'" "Mary Jane's Last Dance," "I Won't Back Down," and more.

Get a jump on New Year's resolutions beginning Saturday and Sunday at 9AM, when LPB presents ways for you to stay physically and financially healthy. At 6:30PM Saturday, December 1 on Chet Atkins: Certified Guitar Player, enjoy this 1987 gathering of A-list musicians celebrating the enormous influence Chet Atkins had on their lives and careers. Guest stars include Mark Knopfler, the Everly Brothers, Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. Then, at 8PM on Donny Osmond: One Night Only, join the pop culture icon for the definitive concert of his career, the final night of his sold-out 2017 United Kingdom arena tour.

Sunday, December 2 at 7PM hear Sarah Brightman: Hymn, and be thrilled by the exquisite voice of the world's best-selling soprano in this concert filmed in a magical setting at the foot of the Bavarian Alps. At 8:30PM on Johnny Mathis - Wonderful Wonderful, Public TV celebrates the legendary Johnny Mathis.

Monday, December 3 at 7PM, see Great Performances: The Chris Botti Band in Concert, as he performs well-known hits including “The Look of Love,” “The Very Thought of You,” “Cinema Paradiso” and “When I Fall in Love.”

Tuesday, December 4 at 7PM, delight in the shimmering voices and enchanting music of Celtic Woman: Ancient Land. This new concert filmed at the beautiful Johnstown Castle in Wexford, Ireland features stunning new music from the latest album, Ancient Land. Watch to find out how you can meet Celtic Woman when they tour in Louisiana next spring.

On Thursday, December 6 at 7PM, The Spirit of a Culture: Cane River Creoles recounts the Cane River Creole identity struggle from colonial French Louisiana to today's Creole-led multicultural renaissance.
