Annual holiday tradition features Grammy-nominated musician, Deana Carter

(December 18, 2024 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) – Country music singer-songwriter Deana Carter took center stage for the taping of Louisiana Public Broadcasting’s (LPB) annual celebration AN EVENING AT THE GOVERNOR’S MANSION. Hosted by Governor Jeff Landry and First Lady Sharon Landry, Carter’s performance premieres Thursday, December 19 at 7:00 PM on LPB’s statewide network. In addition, the special will air on WYES-TV (in the New Orleans and the Gulf Coast Region) Saturday, December 21 at 7:00 PM and WLAE (in New Orleans) Saturday, December 21 at 9:00 PM.
Carter shares a mixture of her beloved hits and holiday favorites during this intimate performance at the Louisiana Governor’s Mansion as LPB cameras rolled for her memorable performance. Carter has been nominated for multiple Grammy, ACMA, and CMA Awards. Her hit single, “Strawberry Wine” won Single of the Year at the 1997 Country Music Association Awards. While originally from Nashville, Carter’s Louisiana roots run deep, with her father, the late multi-talented musician Fred Carter, Jr., hailing from Winnsboro.
