TWO FANTASTIC SHOWS: ONE GREAT CHANNEL TO WATCH

Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Special (Sunday at 6pm) and the series finale of Poldark (Sunday at 8pm)Just two of the great shows on LPB in a week worth watching. 


Monday - In honor of Veterans Day: the Native American experience in the U. S. military. The Warrior Tradition (8pm) shares their stories. Told from their points of view, this one-hour documentary reveals astonishing, heartbreaking, and ultimately, inspiring stories. 

Next, Seize & Secure: The Battle for La Fière (9pm).

Nominated for a Suncoast EMMY Award for Best Historical Documentary, LPB produced this eye-opening look at the relatively unexplored but pivotal battle to secure the La Fière causeway and bridge in France during WWII. The battle is not widely known, but is regarded as one of the bloodiest small arms battles in U.S. military history. 

Tuesday - Is life imitating art tonight on Finding Your Roots (7pm)? Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin is in search of answers to family mysteries. Then,learn how engineers overcame seemingly impossible challenges to construct America's first subway on American Experience (8pm). Frontline (9pm) explores the detention of migrant children. 

SPACE CAMERAS AND AN OUT OF THIS WORLD AGATHA CHRISTIE ADAPTION

A city from space. Life From Above Wednesday at 9pm.

Wednesday - Tonight something BIG on Nature (7pm). From a bird-eating cricket to the blue whale, it's a night of epic survival stories featuring nature's biggest beasts. On NOVA (8pm), it's the science behind the smile. Find out how Leonardo da Vinci used science to create his legendary artwork...and why Mona Lisa's smile is so captivating. And from growing cities to disappearing forests, Life From Above (9pm) uses cameras in space to show how much our planet changes. 

Thursday - First, on Father Brown (7PM) it's foul-play on the fairway as a body is found on Raylan Reeve's new golf course. Next on Midsomer Murders (8PM), Barnaby and Jones find themselves investigating a murder at the Midsomer Priory.

Then, it's part-two of the miniseries adaption of one of Agatha Christie's most famous works, And Then There Were None (9:30pm). The body count continues to rise on Soldier Island and dreadful secrets are revealed. 

A SUNDAY CELEBRATION FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY

How do you get to Sesame Street? Through LPB, of course. The entire family will enjoy a look back on Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration, Sunday at 6pm. 


Friday - Start your weekend with a look at the top news on Louisiana: The State We're In (7pm). Next, meet businessman and Louisiana Legend (8pm) Roy O. Martin III.  The Alexandria native is CEO, President and CFO of RoyOMartin and volunteers with a variety of organizations that impact everything from economic development to healthcare . Next on Art Rocks! (8:30pm) meet    Paul Groves, an operatic tenor and Lake Charles native. At 9pm, it's your chance to catch-up on a show you might have missed: What the Durrells Did Next: A Masterpiece Special.

Saturday - The in-laws are having a tiff when they come to visit on As Time Goes By (7PM). That's followed by Still Open All Hours (7:30PM) and the hit show Mum (8PM). Tonight's episode of Upstart Crow (8:30PM) asks the question: Was Hamlet meant to be a comdey? On A Place to Call Home (9PM), Richard is arrested for murder!

Sunday - Start your Sunday with a show that's 50 years in the making: Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration. Joseph Gordon Levitt hosts an evening on the street where everyone is welcome! 

POLDARK SERIES FINALE - SUNDAY NIGHT - 8PM
