THE DEFINITIVE TRUE STORY BEHIND ONE OF THE BEST-LOVED "MASTERPIECE" FAMILIES

They left dreary England for a sun-dappled Greek island only to have the idyllic island life cut short by the outbreak of WWII. But does the story really end there? Watch What the Durrells Did Next, a Masterpiece Special, Sunday, Nov. 10 at a SPECIAL TIME - 6:30p.


Monday - It's all the best moments from Antiques Roadshow (7pm) as they celebrate their milestone 500th episode! Enjoy a full hour of pivotal moments and amazing finds including a look back at that grungy Seymour card table from Season 2 (and the show's first six-figure yard sale find!) and that amazing folk art swan sled! If that hour has you hungry for more finds, you're in luck! Antiques Roadshow is in Orlando at 8pm. The treasure hunt continues with The Art Detectives (9pm) as the experts hunt down a "restored" landscape by Joseph Wright of Derby. 

Tuesday - Watch as Bryant Gumbel, Tonya Lewis-Lee, and Suzanne Malveaux discover unexpected ancestry on Finding Your Roots (7pm). It's followed by a special two-hour Frontline (8pm) that explores the promise...and the perils.. of Artificial Intelligence.

DRAMA IN THE DELTA: THE FINAL EPISODE OF OKAVANGO: RIVER OF DREAMS

Two giraffes "necking." No joke - that's the term used when two male giraffes fight by butting their long necks and heads. The fights usually end when one male admits defeat and walk away. Watch Nature-Okavango: River of Dreams Wednesday at 7p.


Wednesday - Tonight the special three-part look into survival along the Okavango River comes to an end on Nature (7pm). Don't worry; Nature returns next Wednesday with something really "big." NOVA (8pm) takes a look at how new technology is helping unravel mysteries of the Dead Sea Scrolls - and uncover million dollar fakes! Next, marvel at the weird and wonderful shapes that cover the surface of the Earth on Life From Above (9pm).

Thursday - A night of British murder & mystery including Agatha Christie? YES PLEASE! First, on Father Brown (7PM) a student swipes the last three macaroons at a school fete. She's later found on the floor in a pool of blood. Next, a missing tax inspector is found floating in a vat of cider on Midsomer Murders (8PM). Then, it's a three-part miniseries adaption of one of Agatha Christie's most famous works And Then There Were None (9:30pm). You're going to recognize a lot of faces in this one including Aidan Turner (Poldark), Sam Neill, Charles Dance, and Miranda Richardson. 

MASTERPIECE LOOKS AT WHAT THE REAL-LIFE DURRELLS DID NEXT

The series may be coming to an end, but LPB has more on the real life family that inspired the hit series with a special documentary, Sunday, Nov. 10th - What the Durrells Did Next. 


Friday - Start your weekend with a look at the top news on Louisiana: The State We're In (7pm) followed by Washington Week (7:30pm). Next, it's famed neurosurgeon Dr. Julian Bailes, Jr., on Louisiana Legends (8pm). The Natchitoches native is part of our series highlighting outstanding Louisianians who have distinguished themselves in a variety of disciplines. Next on Art Rocks! (8:30pm) meet Baton Rouge ceramic artist Ghada Henagan, who incorporates textures, drawings, and colors to evoke nostalgia. Speaking of nostalgia...Great Performances (9pm) features the musical Rodgers & Hammerstein's The King & I. This is the Tony Award-winning revival starring Ken Watanabe and Kelli O'Hara and is just the latest in Great Performances' "Broadway's Best" series. 

Saturday -The gang faces a roadblock to their planned weekend in the country on As Time Goes By (7PM). That's followed by Still Open All Hours (7:30PM) and the hit show Mum (8PM). Upstart Crow (8:30PM) features love potions and enchantment as Will finishes writing "A Midsummer Night's Dream." On A Place to Call Home (9PM), Jack goes missing following a debate and a body is found in the river. 

Sunday - SPECIAL TIME ALERT! You haven't seen the last of the Durrells! The one-hour documentary special  Masterpiece: What the Durrells Did Next starts at 6:30pm. This special lifts the lid on every family secret, heartbreak, and triumph. And you'll recognize the host - leading lady Keeley Hawes. Only two more episodes to go on Poldark Season 5 on Masterpiece (8PM). Tonight Demelza discovers French smugglers, Ross seeks vengeance, and Caroline supports Kitty. And Press on Masterpiece comes to an end tonight and things are about to blow! A source is ready to blow the whistle on a government program and Holly and Duncan go head to head!
