THE RUNOFF: EDWARDS & RISPONE SET TO DEBATE WEDNESDAY ON LPB

Hear from the candidates before you vote! LPB is proud to bring you the Louisiana Governor's Debate 2019 - The Runoff, Wednesday at 7PM. 


Monday - On Antiques Roadshow (7PM) discover hidden treasures in Virginia Beach including a Louis Vuitton from 1890 and an antenna from the Mercury Capsule. On Retro Report (8PM) uncover the truth about a lawsuit over hot coffee! And the hit series The Art Detectives (9PM) returns. Tonight their sleuthing takes them to Glasgow, Scotland, in search of a priceless Rubens! 

Tuesday - Actors Fred Armisen and Christopher Walken along with musician Carly Simon learn about mysterious grandparents on Finding Your Roots (7PM). Retro Report (8PM) uncovers the story behind new AIDS hot spots and reveals the legacy of Napster. And then on Frontline (9PM), it was the most destructive fire in California history. Get the inside story from survivors and first responders. 


CAN LIFE RECOVER AFTER A MASS EXTINCTION?

66 million years ago, a giant asteroid struck Earth, wiping out the dinosaurs in a fiery global catastrophe, but what happened next? Watch NOVA, Wednesday at 9PM.


Wednesday - The night begins with the final face off between incumbent John Bel Edwards and challenger Eddie Rispone. The Louisiana Governor's Debate 2019 - The Runoff begins at 7PM with both candidates facing a panel of reporters and ultimately, one another. Tune in and share you comments on social media. Don't forget to use the hashtags #lagov and #lpbdebate. Next it's Nature: Okavango-River of Dreams (8PM). Tonight you'll see a hyena and a warthog family live side-by-side and help each other in the most neighborly of ways. That's followed by an exciting NOVA: Rise of the Mammals (9PM) where fossils hidden inside ordinary looking rocks provide a dramatic picture of how life rebounded after a cataclysmic asteroid impact. 

Thursday - Happy Halloween!  Relax with all that leftover candy and a night of murder and mystery! First, Father Brown (7PM) uncovers a dark secret when a contestant is murdered at a ballroom dancing competition. Next, it's murder medieval style when an eviscerated body is found at an ancient stone circle on Midsomer Murders (8PM). Then on Shakespeare & Hathaway-Private Investigators (9:30PM) it's all tricks when Frank and Lu encounter a pair of deadly gangsters! 

SERIES FINALE FOR THE DURRELLS IN CORFU

The series may be coming to an end, but LPB has more on the real life family that inspired the hit series with a special Sunday, Nov. 10th - What the Durrells Did Next. 


Friday - Start your weekend with a look at the top news on Louisiana: The State We're In (7PM) followed by Washington Week (7:30PM). Next, get away from it all when Samantha Brown's Places to Love heads to Hong Kong! On Art Rocks! (8:30PM), meet Lisette Oropesa, the New Orleans born soprano who has taken the opera world by storm, most recently at Carnegie Hall where she performed as the winner of the Richard Tucker Award. Then, Broadway comes to Bunkie, Baton Rouge and all points in between! Great Performances (9PM) begins their "Broadway's Best" series with the tap-dancing extravaganza 42nd Street. Saturday - After an amazing day out at the Louisiana Book Festival, relax with your favorite British comedies. As Time Goes By (7PM) where Jean undertakes some strategic snooping concerning the new neighbors. That's followed by Still Open All Hours (7:30PM) and the hit show Mum (8PM). On Upstart Crow (8:30PM) Will has finished Romeo and Juliet...but who will play Juliet? On A Place to Call Home (9PM), Jack begins his campaign, George comes clean, Matthew grows closer to Olivia, and Anna turns to alcohol. 

Sunday - It's the series finale of the Durrells in Corfu (7PM) and just as it looks like everything is about to come together for the family, they realize they can no longer ignore the rumblings of war. But remember, this isn't the last you'll see of the Durrells! Watch for the special planned for next Sunday. Poldark Season 5 on Masterpiece (8PM) is still bringing the drama as Ross plans a daring attempt to save his friend. Does Ross do anything that's NOT daring? On Press (9PM) a new colleague attempts to discredit Ed, and Peter and Amina prepare the way for a big announcement.

Mike Gaudet, President of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board, provides an update on the EBR School Report and the Superintendent search on Newsmakers.
