The Summer of Space is here!

(Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Robert Stone, Chasing the Moon relives the journey that defined a generation - from its earliest beginnings to the first lunar landing. Watch tonight at 8PM!)

Tonight at 7PM on Antiques Roadshow: Out of this World, explore the universe of space-themed treasures, including NASA Space Program autographed photos, a 1737 celestial & terrestrial atlas, and Star Trek memorabilia. At 8PM, it's time for lift-off! Chasing the Moon is a three-part, six-hour film that tells the entire story of the space race. On Part One, explore the early days of the space race, the struggle to catch up with the Soviet Union and the enormous stakes in the quest to reach the moon. At 10PM Space Race tells the emotional story of two men, on opposite sides of the Cold War, racing against each other to design and build the most powerful rocket.

Tuesday at 7PM on Space Men: American Experience, meet the pioneering Air Force scientists and pilots whose Project Manhigh, which collected data about the biological and technical factors required to support human activity in space, laid the groundwork for the US space program. At 8PM on Part Two of Chasing the Moon, discover what it took to beat the Soviet Union to the moon in the space race. In the turbulent and troubled '60s, the U.S. space program faced tragedy with Apollo 1, but made a triumphant comeback with Apollo 8. Then at 10PM, Space Race continues.

Wednesday at 7PM on NOVA: Back to the Moon, fifty years after humans first set foot on the moon, new scientific discoveries are fueling excitement for a return to the lunar surface -- this time, perhaps, to stay. At 8PM on Part Three of Chasing the Moonexperience the triumph of the first moon landing, witnessed by the largest TV audience in history. But dreams of space dramatically intersect with dreams of democracy, raising questions of national priorities and national identity. Then stay tuned for NOVA: Black Hole Universe. At 10PM on B-Line to Space, Scientific Ballooning continues adapting to be one of the most efficient and economical avenues to near space research; a driving and irreplaceable force in the future of space science.

Thursday at 7PM, Father Brown uncovers secrets, hypocrisy and murder at a finishing school for young ladies. At 8PM, on Doctor Blake Mysteries, Blake looks into the death of a farmer and a mysterious case of arson. At 9PM on Death in Paradise, the team investigates a murder in paradise. Then at 10PM, see an encore of the season finale of Endeavour

Friday at 7PM, watch the week's top news on Louisiana: The State We're In, followed at 7:30PM by Washington Week. At 8PM, Community Coffee: Cheers to 100 Years tells the story of a century old Louisiana coffee company that grew alongside the people it served. The documentary takes a historical look at the company and its growth into one of the top selling family-owned retail coffee brands in America today. At 8:30PM on LPB's Art Rocks!, meet Frank Thompson, a multi-talented Louisiana craftsman who concentrates today on modern, fused glass and metal artwork. Then at 9PM on Part 3 of Big Pacific, see how the challenge of finding food drives all life in the Pacific. That's followed at 10PM by Part 3 of Great Yellowstone Thaw.

Saturday beginning at 7PM, see your favorite British comedies. At 9PM, Vera must open up a familiar cold case to find the connection with a present-day murder. At 10:30PM, Front and Center brings a variety of musicians, industry veterans, emerging artists and chart toppers to an intimate stage for a dynamic hour of music. This week, powerhouse “Take Me To Church” musician Hozier. Then, don't miss James Bay and Rhiannon Giddens on Austin City Limits at 11:30PM.

Sunday at 7PM, catch up on Poldark Season 4 on Masterpiece. While George continues plotting his return to Westminster, Ross is reunited with his family at home. At 8PM on the Season 4 premiere of Grantchester, Sidney is swept up in the civil rights movement when Reverend Todd and his daughter arrive -- and a murder sees racial tensions spike. Then at 9:30PM on Midsomer Murders, a birdwatcher met his death while hoping to sight a rare bird, but is his obsession with ornithology to blame - or something more sinister?
