Louisiana Child Care Parent Poll for Louisiana Families

If you have any children under the age of 5 in your home, will you take 15 minutes to respond to the Louisiana Child Care Parent Poll?

NOTE: The survey opens November 7th and closes November 21st!

This survey is for any parent, guardian, or caregiver raising children under 5 in their home. The survey is available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese so we can reach as many parent and caregiver voices as possible. Your responses will be kept confidential and you can answer the survey without giving your name.

The survey is being conducted by the Louisiana Policy Institute for Children, Louisiana Department of Education, Agenda for Children, and Women United of Southeast Louisiana, who partnered to create and distribute this survey to learn about the child care arrangements of Louisiana families with children under the age of 5. Thank you in advance for your participation. If you have any questions about the survey, contact info@policyinstitutela.org.

Thanksgiving: Practicing Gratitude and Honoring the Real Story

There is so much we can — and should — teach children about the real, unsanitized origins of Thanksgiving, and we can do so without losing our family traditions. In fact, honoring the true story can amplify and even uplift our celebrations: when we paint a fuller picture of history, we help our children build critical thinking skills, and give them a true understanding of all there is to be thankful for.

Thanksgiving Tales

Thanksgiving is about more than the turkey! Here are ten recommended books for kids ages 0-9 that celebrate sharing, community, and family. Read these stories to the children in your life to help them see what the spirit of Thanksgiving is really all about.
