LPB Kids Club Ice Cream Social with Curious George

Spending time with Curious George will be COOL! Have some ice cream, hear a story, and watch your favorite monkey on the big screen at the LPB Kids Club Ice Cream Social with Curious George on Friday, July 27 at 10AM.  Your Front Row Seat to America’s Biggest Birthday Celebration!

America’s favorite Independence Day celebration, A Capitol Fourth puts you front and center for the greatest display of fireworks anywhere in the nation. A Capitol Fourth is broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol Wednesday, July 4, 2018 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. before a concert audience of hundreds of thousands, as well as on the American Forces Network to our troops serving around the world. The program can be heard live in stereo over NPR member stations nationwide. The concert will be live-streamed on PBS (www.pbs.org/a-capitol-fourth), YouTube and Facebook.

BREAKING BIG: Jason Aldean - Friday, July 6 at 8PM, Learn how country singer Jason Aldean battled through constant setbacks early in his career, and ultimately found success with a scrappy, persistent and out-of-the-box approach that led him to country music superstardom. Hosted by Carlos Watson, an Emmy® Award-winning journalist and co-founder and CEO of OZY.com, Breaking Big explores the twists and turns on the road to thriving careers for some notable figures in various fields. DREAMLAND - Saturdays at 7:30PM beginning July 7, Dreamland is a satirical Australian comedy set inside the offices of the "Nation Building Authority," a government organization responsible for overseeing major infrastructure projects. The series follows the working lives of a tight-knit team in charge of guiding these grand schemes from announcement to unveiling. Constant shifts in priorities are the order of the day as the staff is asked to come up with plans for everything from new roads and rail lines to airports and high-rise urban developments.

10 STREETS THAT CHANGED AMERICA - Tuesday, July 10 at 7PM, Take a whirlwind tour of engineering feats that made our civilization possible. See how engineers connected our nation with bridges, rail networks, a continent-wide freeway system, and delivered water from distant rivers to our kitchen sinks.

THE ROCKIES: Kingdoms of the Sky - Wednesday, July 11 at 8PM, Experience the amazing wildlife and remarkable people who inhabit this 3,000-mile mountain range, home to cougars, wolverines, wolves and grizzlies. Daredevil wingsuit fliers jump from high peaks and Native Americans compete in breakneck horse races.
