Deliciously macabre and delightfully over-the-top, this cleverly plotted series parodies the traditional British murder mystery. Each episode stars Dawn French (The Vicar of Dibley, co-creator of Absolutely Fabulous) in a variety of guises: an inept policewoman, an aging starlet, a feisty hairdresser, a mad scientist, an assassin's accomplice, and a not-very-Grim Reaper. But no matter which side of the law she's on, there's always enough foul play, dastardly deeds and grisly goings-on to turn Agatha Christie green with envy.
