First Show: April 3, 1948 • Final Show: August 27, 1960

By 1954, the United States American Forces Radio Network
broadcast a special half hour of the Louisiana Hayride
on the AFN Pacific channel every Saturday.

While most famous for his song "You Are My Sunshine" which is know worldwide, Davis was elected governor of Louisiana twice.

The last time Elvis appeared for KWKH, was in 1956 where Horace Logan,
the producer of The Louisiana Hayride, said
"Elvis has left the building."

That's where the words were spoken the first time.
