Vanilla Homemade Ice Cream
 
Ingredients:

beaten eggs
cups sugar
12 ounce cans Pet milk
tablespoon vanilla flavoring
(I recommend Watkins)
milk to equal 3 Pet cans full
ice cubes
salt to cover ice in the bucket

Directions:
Beat eggs well. Add sugar and cream well. Add Pet milk and pour in a large, deep pot. Add milk and cook over medium heat about 20 minutes – do not scald. Remove from heat and add vanilla flavoring. Cool. Pour into inner ice cream bucket. Place in outer freezer bucket. Add ice until bucket is full, pouring salt over each layer of ice. Begin to turn until motor shuts off or until bucket feels very heavy to turn. Allow to set for 25 minutes. Serve immediately or freeze.
