I am at work but I just had to send you an email. To my astonishment After opening my recent cookbook order (a Christmas gift for my wife Renee' ) both books are personally autographed by you! What a special touch, thank you so very much. Renee' and I are big fans of your weekly television show which we view via satellite. We have always enjoyed Cajun cooking, music, and lifestyle. We enjoy it so much we are visiting New Orleans later this month for four days just to take in all the good food in the French Quarter. The trip is two-fold, it is a celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary and a Christmas gift to each other. A goal of mine though is to stray away from New Orleans and visit the heart of Cajun country one day, to sample the lifestyle that seems to be drenched in food, fun and especially family. I readily accept your tips of places to visit, especially those that combine great food and Cajun music. I like to go where the "locals" go and an outsider is accepted. May God continue to bless you and your family. Thank you for sharing your recipes, life stories, and that special granddaughter. Kevin & Renee' van Pelt Pinckneyville Illinois Our Thanksgiving feast was topped off with your Angel Food cake desert. Needless to say it was a hit, and such a good hit that we were at the store the next day to make another one for the weekend. The pumpkin pie went by the wayside. Thank you so much for sharing that recipe. We will be hosting our annual open house. I try to use Cajun recipes because they are so dear to my husband's heart. After racking the internet, a corn-shrimp bisque is eluding me. Would you please be so kind to send a copy of yours? I have asked the family to please buy me one of your cook books for Christmas. Thanks again for all your help to bring the Cajun world to the Yankee states. Have a blessed and wonderful Christmas. Sincerely,Cathy Walker Vermilion, Illinois
