Smothered Cabbage
 
Ingredients:

medium head of cabbage, cored and chopped
slices bacon
Salt and pepper


Directions:
Fry bacon in heavy pot. Add chopped cabbage. Cover. Stir occasionally (cabbage will brown in bacon drippings as the two cook together). Cook for about 30 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
