Ingredients:

pounds pork meat (I use pork chops)
2 pound jar of sauerkraut (I prefer the jars)
medium potatoes, cubed
water to boil sauerkraut & pork
salt & pepper

Directions:
Put pork in a large pot. Add enough water to cover meat plus 2 inches over the meat. Boil until tender. Save stock. In another large pot, put sauerkraut, which has been drained and rinsed with cold water, and enough water to boil sauerkraut for 2 hours. As you boil the kraut, add potatoes and continue to boil. You may need to add more water to sauerkraut – use as much of the pork stock as possible. After boiling sauerkraut for a couple of hours, put the pork into the sauerkraut pot. Season and continue cooking on medium heat for 30 more minutes. Serve with or without rice. Serves 2-3.

Rinse sauerkraut as much as possible as this makes it taste better.
