Bess Carrick – Producer/Director
Bess Carrick produced and co-directed the award winning documentary, Backlash: Race and the American Dream, which chronicled the rise of the controversial candidacy of white supremacist, David Duke, when he ran for the United States Senate in 1991. She has worked on television projects for the Discovery Network, National Geographic Channel, & PBS. She is a partner in the LLC New Orleans Video, Music and Post, and owns the retreat center, The Forest Retreat, on the edge of the Homochitto National Forest, near Natchez, Mississippi. Carrick lives in New Orleans.

Rebecca Roberts – Narrator
Rebecca is the grand daughter of Ambassador Lindy Boggs, and daughter of well known journalists, Steven Roberts and Cokie Roberts. Rebecca hosts a daily local talk show “The Intersection” on WETA radio in the Washington, DC market. She was for four years the technology correspondent for “The World,” a co-production of the BBC, PRI and WGBH. Roberts hosted the Emmy-nominated public television program “Springboard” produced by KQED-TV in San Francisco. Roberts has a bachelor’s degree in politics from Princeton University and lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband and three children.

Dawn Logsdon – Editor
Dawn has been editing documentaries for 15 years. Her work includes the Oscar-nominated The Weather Underground and the Sundance Festival-winning documentary Paragraph 175.

Mike Esneault– Composer
Esneault has scored a number of projects for Louisiana Public Broadcasting including the DuPont Columbia Award-winning six-part Louisiana: A History series. He has also collaborated with Terence Blanchard on scores for a number of director Spike Lee’s movies.
