Young Heroes Day is
April 22, 2009.

To view the Young Heroes 2009 Nomination Form, you must have Adobe®Acrobat® Reader® installed on your computer. Adobe®Acrobat® Reader® is a FREE, downloadable software program available from www.adobe.com.

To be eligible, a nominee must be a Louisiana residents who is no more than 18 years old and currently attends a Louisiana public or private school. Only previous winners are ineligible for nomination. The child’s parent or guardian must give permission for the nomination, along with permission for Louisiana Public Broadcasting to use the child’s name or likeness on the air in the event they are selected as a winner.

A letter from the nominator explaining why the nominee would be a worthy recipient of the award must accompany every entry form. The nomination may also include supporting materials such as copies of other awards, certificates, newspaper articles, etc. Supporting materials will not be returned.

All entry forms must be received by Friday, February 6, 2009. The winners will be announced on the air March 6, 2009.

April 22 , 2009 will be Young Heroes Day in the state of Louisiana. Winners and their families will be honored at an awards ceremony in Baton Rouge.

The program is co-presented by the Baton Rouge Rotary Club and underwritten by ExxonMobil and the Credit Bureau of Baton Rouge, Inc.
