Jacqueline Shorter-Beauchamp Jacqueline Shorter-Beauchamp
CEO and co-founder of Nergyzed Entertainment

Ms. Jacqueline S. Beauchamp is the co-founder, Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of Nerjyzed (pronounced Energized) Entertainment, Inc, a privately held African-American owned interactive digital media development and publishing company headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. With a development staff of over forty (40) full-time employees, Nerjyzed develops and publishes high quality video games and films that reflect the urban market segment. Ms. Beauchamp has 20+ years of experience in the high-end technology and multimedia entertainment industry with an established and proven track record.

Before founding Nerjyzed, Ms. Beauchamp became the first African American female General Manager within Motorola where she led the Multimedia Systems Division. Led by Ms. Beauchamp, this global organization developed silicon for the DVD and high-end Audio products, as well as the organization developed digital set-box and video games. As an engineering technologist at IBM, where she holds a “High Density Memory Module” United States Patent, Ms. Beauchamp accrued 10 years of extensive expertise in the areas of product design and development, as well as advanced technology development.

Ms. Beauchamp is also a noted speaker on digital entertainment technology and it’s impact on the entertainment industry. Most recently, she presented: “The New Yellow Brick Road: Where Entertainment Meets Technology” at the Global Film Conference sponsored by the Motion Picture Association of America. She is also recognized in the video gaming industry as being a pioneer in the forefront of black-owned studios and
has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune, Jet Magazine, Black Enterprise, and was a 2007 Black Enterprise Innovator of the Year finalist.

Most recently Ms. Beauchamp was voted as the 2009 Influential Business Woman of the year by the Baton Rouge Business Report.

Ms. Beauchamp received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with minors in Computer Science and Mathematics from Southern University with Cum Laude honors and this great institution is where her 20-year old daughter Corbin is currently completing her junior year majoring in Business with a minor in Mass Communications.

Cenla Advantage Partnership CEO

Jim Clinton is CEO for the Cenla Advantage Partnership, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating more and better economic opportunities in Central Louisiana. Prior to coming to Alexandria, Jim served as Executive Director of Southern Growth Policies Board, a thirteen-state alliance based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. During his time at Southern Growth, he was a lead author on many publications, including Invented Here, The Mercedes and the Magnolia, The New Architecture of Rural Prosperity, Innovation with a Southern Accent, and Brave New South.

He previously served as President of the Louisiana Partnership for Technology and Innovation and President of Gulf South Research Institute. In Louisiana state government, he was an Assistant Commissioner of Administration and Director of Contractual Review. He managed the Louisiana Superdome during its transition from public to private management.

Jim was a lead author of the plan that consolidated Louisiana’s more than 250 agencies into 20 principal departments. He serves on the boards of directors of the Council for a Better Louisiana, the National Issues Forum, the National Policy Consensus Institute and the Southern Arts Federation. His poetry, criticism and essays have been published regionally and nationally.

Curt Eysink Curt Eysink
Executive Director, Louisiana Workforce Commission

Curt Eysink serves as executive director for the Louisiana Workforce Commission. He was appointed to the position in July 2009 by Gov. Bobby Jindal.

Eysink joined LWC in March 2008 and most recently served as chief of staff and press secretary. In that role, he was responsible for the department’s performance improvement activities and communications activities. He also worked with all sections of the agency on the development and implementation of initiatives to improve workforce development in the state.

Prior to joining LWC, Eysink served as director of marketing for Louisiana Health Care Review, Inc., a Baton Rouge-based healthcare improvement and medical management company serving federal and state clients. As a member of the company’s leadership team, he was primarily responsible for all business development and communications.

His knowledge of state government includes tenure as city editor of The Advocate newspaper in Baton Rouge, with responsibility for local news coverage and the newspaper’s Washington, D.C. bureau as well as editing political and state government news reports. He is an LSU graduate.

Anthony J. Greco Anthony Greco, Ph.D.
Professor of Economics, University of Louisiana at Lafayette

Anthony J. Greco is a Professor of Economics in the College of Business at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette serving since 1984.

He received his undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of New Orleans and his Doctorate in Economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

His research as an Economist focuses on Government Regulation and Antitrust Economics and has published extensively in this area. He has served as a consultant for various economic initiatives in the Lafayette area and in other areas, as well.

His many awards include the UL Lafayette Business Economist Professorship and the UL Distinguished Research Professor Award.

Dr. Greco has given several interviews to local newspaper, radio and TV stations and serves as a reviewer for Economics journals.

He is married to Donna Greco (formerly Donna Dearie).

They have two sons: Joel (Ph. D. in Molecular Cell Biology from Tulane University and Lyle, a Senior at LSU majoring in Finance.
