The Road Home: Housing Options for Victims of the Storms

Impact of the show:

  • The good news is that after the show respondents were more likely to say they understood the program, were confident that it would fair, and that it would help them or their families rebuild.
  • Sustantial Increase in the percent of respondents saying they understood The Road Home after the show. From 3% prior to the show to 44% after the show saying they understood the program very well - and no one saying not at all.)
  • Significant increase in the percent of respondents saying the road home will help them or their family rebuild. After the show 52% say the Road Home will help compared to just 30% pre-show. NOTE: While the number not/sure - don't know goes down it is still large in the post show.
  • There is some movement here as well. After the show 17% say they are very confident the program will be fair to all homeowners, prior to the show no one was very confident. AND the number somewhat confident increased from 33% to 65%.
