Gerrymandering The U.S. Supreme Court recently took up a case that seeks to establish a measure for gerrymandering. That’s when voting districts – like for U.S. Congress or state legislatures – are drawn to give an interest group or political party an advantage. According to the experts, Louisiana is the sixth most gerrymandered state in the country. Kelly Spires sat down with Brian Marks, a professor at LSU who studies gerrymandering. SHARE

Louisiana: Sportsman’s Paradise or Problem? The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries waterfowl survey released this month indicates the state’s duck count is about half of what it was a year ago. Fewer ducks is just one of the challenges facing Louisiana’s hunters.
