Troubled Roads - DOTD Secretary Shawn Wilson With no help from a higher gas tax in sight, the Department of Transportation and Development is left to determine how to smooth our troubled roads without the extra funds. Kelly Spires reports. SHARE

The Thibodaux Massacre In 1887 in a two hour shooting spree known as the Thibodaux Massacre, white vigilantes gunned down unarmed blacks and their families. Today that community is coming together to locate the remains and honor those fallen individuals. SHARE

The Vietnam War: Arthur Abercrombie The Vietnam War began in 1957 and ended in a communist victory in 1976. Baton Rouge Attorney Arthur Abercrombie’s first assignment in Vietnam was with 173rd Airborne Brigade, a parachute unit. The US lost over 68,000 people there and he says looking back that it was for nothing. Although he believed in the cause, and what we started there, Abercrombie believes we “just didn’t finish it”.
