Budget As negotiations for the state budget continue, we hear from House Speaker Taylor Barras about the spending reform measures that Republicans want before they agree to Governor John Bel Edwards’ tax increases. SHARE

Medicaid Copays Nearly one-third of Louisiana's Residents are covered by Medicaid, which costs the state $12.5 billion annually. The federal government picks up nearly two-thirds of the costs. The remaining one-third is the biggest expense for the state's taxpayers. SHARE

Center for River Studies Plus, LPB is there as LSU’s Center for River Studies opens with its state of the art physical model of the lower Mississippi River. The ribbon-cutting was buoyed by a commitment from the Trump administration on having major coastal restoration projects move faster. SHARE

Washington, DC Mardi Gras This past weekend, the 70th Louisiana Washington Mardi Gras festivities gave Republicans and Democrats a chance to put aside political differences and let the good times roll. The Washington Hilton was where it all happened. Days of events concluded with the Mardi Gras Ball Saturday night. thousands packed the expansive Hilton ballroom. SHARE
