Buddy Roemer’s Book, Scopena: A Memoir of Home

Explore the changes in former Governor Buddy Roemer’s life that ultimately helped produce his book about growing up on his family’s plantation in northwest Louisiana. The title of the book is Scopena.

Invasive Species Spread in Louisiana

As if the wrath of Hurricane Harvey wasn’t enough, now there is worry that invasive species could have spread as a result. We look at that and the ecological and economic consequences.

New Orlean’s Artist Jacqueline Bishop

Bishop’s paintings and collage reflect her environmental activism, landscapes and ecological commentaries about nature, human impact, and species extinction, work influenced by her travel to third world countries, Latin American forests, Louisiana swamps and polluted Gulf shores.
