André Moreau Emmy Award winner Andre' Moreau went from a career as a university fundraiser into television at the age of 27 and never looked back. His career has spanned 32 years working in top markets nationwide, covering hurricanes, earthquakes, Presidents and a Pope. He joined Louisiana Public Broadcasting this spring after eight years as prime news anchor at WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge. While there, WAFB not only dominated the local metro market, but had the No.-1 ranked 10 pm newscast for any local TV news station in the top 100 markets nationwide. He returned to Baton Rouge in 2008, after stops in Columbus and Detroit and 10 years in Los Angeles and San Diego.

He is currently serving as Honorary Co-Chair of the Baton Rouge Bicentennial Committee this year, is emcee of the Capital City's New Year's Eve bash, Red Stick Revelry, serves on the Board of Directors of Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge and received a Special Achievement Award from America's Wetland Foundation for Outstanding coverage of Louisiana's coastal dilemma. In his spare time, he is carving out a career as a professional photographer and hosted 'Baton Rouge: A Bicentennial View,' an exhibit of his photographs of iconic Baton Rouge images from 6-8pm, May 18, 2017 at Shaw Center for the Performing Arts. He graduated from LSU in General Studies in 1981.
