Matt Dardenne Creative + Political Director, Red Six Media
Matt Dardenne is the political and creative director at Red Six Media, an advertising agency he co-founded in 2009. Matt received his undergraduate in Mass Communication at LSU just months before starting his business.
In addition to their advertising work for corporate clients like Dow Chemical and the Capital Area United Way, Dardenne and Red Six Media are quickly making a name for themselves in political circles, working for successful campaigns at the local and statewide level. Clients include Judge Bill Morvant for Supreme Court, John Delgado for Baton Rouge Metro Council, Jay Dardenne for Lt. Governor and Mert Smiley for Ascension Parish Assessor. Red Six Media’s political services include TV and radio production, direct mail, print advertising and web/graphic design.
The Louisiana Business and Technology Center named Red Six Media the Tenant of the Year in 2011.
Matt Dardenne is a native of Baton Rouge and is the youngest son of Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Jay and Cathy Dardenne.
What standards should be used for college admissions?
This fall, LSU instituted a “holistic admissions” process for incoming students which relies more on essays and recommendations than on College Board test scores and grade point averages. Proponents of the move say it’s a better way to identify strong students while opening up opportunities for families not financially able to afford prep classes for standardized exams. Opponents say the move will increase student attrition and could endanger LSU’s flagship status. Examine the new standards from several different perspectives.
