click for larger image Members of the Contemporary Fabric Artists of Louisiana discuss their work and inspirations for the exhibit, “Quilt the Swamp.” The Chemical Heritage Foundation is a curiously-named museum that highlights not only the history of chemistry, but also the intersection of art and science; Iraqi-born poet Dunya Mikhail fled Iraq in the mid-1990s after discovering her name was on Saddam Hussein’s enemies list; and we visit a grand master sand sculptor in Florida. Our Louisiana Treasure this week showcases the River Road African American Museum in Donaldsonville.
